Well, I didn't quote, or made any comment, but I followed the thread.
I can do those parts for $2.85 each, at $25/hr rate,
4 minutes cycle time and material cost $1.00, giving away setup & programming time.
From my perspective is still a bussiness. Since I am not using a $120,000 machine but a $5,000 one, and here the income for a guy with an engineer title is less than $1,000 a month.
I didn't enter the competition because I am really behind schedule with a customer I got here, so deliver his job is priority number one. But even if I quoted a job like that, I wouldn't go for less than $7.00 each.
So the point is not to degrade the prices on USA so everybody become poor, but to upgrade our own income here in the third world, so everybody gets "rich"
Don't you think that, Arty?
Best regards:
Everardo
