I need 3 parts + 3 drill jigs made, a machined plastic piece, and two machined + welded parts. One of the welded parts (mount) can be either a zinc plated (no yellow) steel, or just SS. The other (base) is steel, and if you can paint it or press bearings on, all the better. If you can do with or without (base), or either material (mount). I am looking for prototypes at this point, probably 3-5 sets of the parts and 1 set of the jigs. I'll also need some drill jigs, which I'll post with this thread. I will not be providing material, and will not be considering quotes outside of the USA. Please don't contact me if you can't provide the material or aren't in the USA. In a perfect world, I would award this to a single supplier. If that Is you, you can expect to make the 3-5 prototype sets (first article would be nice for me), and then wait 3 months before we begin ordering regular parts. On the previous design, we used about 40-50 sets per year, but have had issues with tolerance on the base, partly my fault for not knowing the proper way to tolerance for fit, and then the vendors for not being able to keep what they told us we needed. If the dimensioning, tolerancing or number of decimals seems off, you're probably right, and I'll change it based on any input I receive and re-post so as to help anyone with the same questions. This is a first pass attempt. If you don't mind asking questions in this thread so I don't have to answer the same questions 10 times, that would be great. We probably won't buy more than 3 months worth at a time, so pricing quantities above 15 sets is unnecessary. I'd like to begin testing prototypes in a couple of weeks. Thanks for looking.
