I am a hobbyist who does wood inlay work, and need a shop willing to do occasional small jobs. The veneer that I need cut is wood, about 1 millimeter thick. A typical job would be the cutting of 20 types of wood veneer (maple, oak, walnut, teak, etc.) in a size rand of about 16 x 12 inches. The pieces cut from each veneer leaf would range from 1/2 square inches to 10 or 20 square inches. As many as 30 little pieces might be cut from one leaf of veneer.
A typical job would end up with about 600 pieces having been cut from 20 veneer leaves. I would furnish AutoCad .dxf files, or Corel Drawing vector files, like .cmx files. I would furnish the veneers, labeled with the same name as the files which have the cutting patterns on them.
I can be reached at: carlsnyder1@sbcglobal.net or tel: 707 253 1244
Thanks,
