We are creating a wood product consisting of a body and 2 lids (3 parts).

QUANTITY: We would like quotes at 5,000 and 10,000 quantity, as well as any suggestions on quantities which would reduce price/per.

MATERIAL: The specific wood is open to suggestion, but it needs to be hard enough to withstand constant use. Dark or light is ok, cost is key. We would like quotes both including or not including material.

Other assembly\sourcing may be required. Suggestions for finishing welcome

DETAILS: There is a NDA attached. 3D files(solidworks\IGS\etc) are available, as well as detailed 2D drawings and can be provided to any serious inquires.

TIME FRAME: We are currently looking for a plan to get these parts in the next few weeks.. Quotes within a week would be great. We will officially pull this RFQ when a shop is chosen or in 2 weeks(around september 1st). Whichever is first.

Some more Information

Thanks everyone for the interest we have recieved. Here is a bit more info to go on.

1. We haven't got a fax number currently, but can receive 'snail mail'

2. We are in Chicago and are VERY interested in dealing locally. We realize this will be a fairly large bdget project in relation to the work usually on this site and would like to be very confident in where our money is going.

3. The object is roughly 1.9 x 4 x .75"(WxHxD), has deep pockets from '2 sides', has a 3" deep 1/8" hole, a 3" deep 3/8" dia. hole, and a angled dovetail. There are several prototypes available and we can send them to 'finalists', once we start to see who is capable of helping us. There are 2 lids that fit into the dovetailed 'box'

4. Details of the design can change to accommodate ease of production. We have an industrial designer so you will not have to do the redesign work.

5. Important: We are dedicated to working with North American companies. We feel that you guys are a potential asset and we are eager to 'keep it local'. That said, we are going to do as much research as we can to make sure we do not get scammed. Established shops or operations that can be easily verified will be considered first.

6. Please do not 'hold the punches'. We want to know what it will take to get these done, not what it will take to get them started.

7. A wealth of design information is available. PDF 2D drawings, any format 3D that solidworks will output, Patent drawings, etc. (Yes, we have applied for a patent and expect to have patent pending status soon)

8. Stay tuned for an email to return NDAs to. We are working on it!
