I need some blanks waterjetted out of stainless plate. each leg of the elbow needs to be 1.25" square and one lef of the elbow is 2.5" and the other is 2.25". the legs are 90° apart in relation to each other. use of 1.25" stainless plate is ok as it will get finished in a secondary operation. i need about 1400 parts. include material price and delivery to 48312

Good morning. Thanks for posting the drawing. I have taken a look at it and I have a few questions. It appears the longer leg is 2.75" instead of 2.5". Did you mean 2.75" or was the drawing incorrect? Also, do you want a radius on the corners? If so, what size radius? finally, do you have a preference for the steel grade? I have a few options for that.

Hello, I would like to quote this job for you. I would also like to know the tolerance for the parts and taper. Thank you.

Do you have a loading dock or forklift, and is it okay for the parts to ship loose in a container?

due date of quote and of parts?

In addition to these questions I would like to ask a few as well. Do you require any post cut operations? Such as deburring or wipe down? Is stainless steel T304L acceptable? What kind of time frame are we looking at? To expand on the shipping question, what is the capacity of your forklift?
Thanks,

i have no idea what taper to expect, less taper is better, i have no idea what kind of taper a waterjet can produce.

yes we have a forklift it can load 3000 lbs.

quoting will stay open until 3/20/09

t304L is acceptable, although i'm surprised most people won't supply dual certified material.

the parts can be supplied in 300 pcs lot sizes with last lot being 200 pcs. we don't need the material all at once.

no special packaging is required, shipping loose is ok.

we are trying to beat our forging pricing by at least 50%. we can get forgings for $21.00 ea.
