I apologize in advance for not knowing all of the proper terminology. I can make glitter on my machines, but lots of overtime at work and the wife's honey-do list keeps me out of the garage.

Here are two of about eight parts that I need to have machined. Depending on results I may have more made, or measurements will be tweaked. The other parts can be shown to prospective companies, if interested.

If everything turns out good, I will hopefully have more made in the future. But to be perfectly honest, don't plan your child's college education around this job. ;)

But, I'd like to see how the price will scale with multiple parts. But, quote with the assumption of one offs.

Tolerances: Over all +/- .05mm, but some may not be as exact as others. Obviously, I won't complain if all of the parts measurements are spot on. :D

But,

Chamfers should be as shown, but exact measurements are not important on prototype.

Edges are shown with a .25mm break. This measurement should be close, but not exact.

Slot is 2mm wide and is 8mm long. (10mm from radius to radius)

Drill hole is 2mm on part2.

Finish should be smooth with no tool marks. Hopefully future production items will be anodized, but don't spend a lot of time polishing the prototype.

If your shop can handle the anodizing or has a regular outsource. I'd like to get a general swag on how much that would run me.

Please send me a message or post if your interested in quoting this part. I'll be happy to reply with any information or files.

I'll be looking to award this job in two weeks, but might be awarded faster. If you are interested in quoting, let me know so that you are not overlooked.

I'd like to get the parts back in a week or so of the bid being let. If you need more time, let me know. However, I hoping that these parts will not be too difficult.

I'd prefer to keep the work in the US, but I will entertain other countries. Just understand that preference will be given to US companies.

Thanks for your time.

Probably would be a good idea to list your location if you want parts that quickly, coast to coast ground shipping takes 4 business days.

Checking PM's and sending files as requested.

I'm located in TN.

I'm not concerned with the shipping time from the shop to myself.

The week was just a swag, it could be 2-3 etc. I just don't want to be on someone's docket, scheduled 6 months out. For something that might take more than one revision.

I hope that makes sense. I'm human and willing to work with the company that I choose.

Thanks for the interest.

I'll send the files out when I get home from work.

In an effort to save time, please state the file type that you prefer.

i.e. dwg, iges, step etc...

Thanks

Sorry all,

Got home late from work, so I didn't send the file as soon as I'd like.

I'm generating the requests now and will reply with pm/emails for those that were interested.

Thanks.

The files have been sent to the eight people that have shown interest in quoting these parts.

Let me know if I missed anyone or you have any problems.

If anyone else is interested, send me a pm.

Thanks.

Also, note.

If there is some aspect of these parts that makes it difficult to machine. Let me know, there may be some wiggle room with the design.

With that said, I have gotten some quotes back. So far there is a pretty extreme spread. I'll continue to wait until I get all the quotes in from those that requested the prints.

Thanks,

Appears that the website is back to normal and pm's are working again.

If I have not replied to anyone, please follow up with me.

I believe that I am caught up on communications.

Thanks,

Looks like interest in the bidding for this job is starting to drop off.

I plan to close bidding for this on the 09/23/2009. If you are interested, please make sure that you send me a message prior to then.

Thanks for your time.

Actually, I misread the calendar.

The original posted was on the 9th, I stated 2 weeks on it for quotes to be submitted.

The actual date should be 09/23/2009 for the cut off.

I will correct the other post to reflect this one.

Thanks for responding.

We will be able to complete this job for you. However, I am not sure how this whole site works and do not want to get kicked out for publishing a quote on this forum. If you will submit your email address to either txheatseal@aol.com or wdw@texasautomationproducts.com I will submit a quote for your evaluation.

Thank you,
