Looking to get 10 or so of these made, maybe more depending on price.
Material: 6061 T6 (not supplied)
Overall length needs to be 5/8". 1/2" above the step, 1/8" below. Length can be slightly longer either way, but no shorter. Flatness needs to be respectable on the larger side, small side...
Part is 19.05mm thick (3/4"), but can be slightly thinner to get a true flat surface. Overall width is 105mm, overall height is 97mm. Looking to have at least 4 of these made, probably 10, possibly as many as 20 depending on price. Future re-orders are a possibility, but unknown at present...
Yes, the surfaces need to be flat and parallel. Thickness has some room to play with, it just needs to be fairly close to 1/2". I would say between thickness and flatness, flatness is definitely more important.
Good call. I'm new to all of this machining stuff :)
I'm not sure what tolerance I should request. .01" from edge to center probably wouldn't make a difference, as there will be paper gaskets installed, especially since the bulk of the middle will be gone. The seal only needs to happen around...
3 more days, anyone else?
Thanks for the 2 so far, glad there is a forum like this for small jobs to get completed. My local places won't talk to you unless you are wanting to spend $20k +
