We have a gear that we currently manufacture and would like to outsource. We currently use approx 300/yr in our assembles.
Part is a bit over 2.0" diam, x .900 long, approx .375" thru bore diam, and a Metric Module helical gear cut. 6061-T6 material. Nothing too difficult about it but there is 1 milled feature in the face of the part that could either be milled in a 3 axis mill, or mill/turn lathe (preferable).
We do not want these manufactured with manual machines and are subject to increase in qty needed. We would prefer to sign an annual blanket contract and continue an on going relationship.
We will not submit any detailed drawings without an NDA so if you are willing to submit your ballpark estimate and lead time, that would be great. We understand that you may not be able to honor your quote until all details are reviewed.
The part again has a milled .125" slot on the opposite side but can be made in a lathe in one operation. We show a backside ID corner radius but are negotiable with that feature as we realize these need to get done without flipping the part in a lathe.
