1) Material type: 01 or A2 tool Steel, Material not supplied.
2) .
3) Production run of 20-50 pieces. Please quote both.
4) Drawings attached.
5) Looking for 1 month turn-around.
6) Because of the Holiday, Bidding will end Wed. July 11th.

The attached PDF depicts two photos of similar pieces after which this pin is modeled. The only non standard turning process would be the triangular head, which would require three mill cuts 120 degrees offset, down to the depth maintaining the .165" diameter immediately adjacent to the cut. Stock used may be 1/2" if the outermost diameter of the finished piece is at least .490" Tolerance of +/- .005 is acceptable.

Please send quotes to JEdgerly@socal.rr.com

Can't you get someone to whip out a crude test part in brass or something similar to test the fit? The first part will take (programming, set-up) twice as long or more than making the next 20. I doubt anyone would hold a machine for a 20-50 piece order so it would have to be set-up twice. The charge for one part won't be pretty.

That is a good point. I found a local guy who will do a one-off by hand. Assuming the fit is correct, I still need quote for the run. The only potential changes would be adding or subtracting .001-.050" from the OAL. Thanks!
