1) 6061-T6 [bar stock]
2) Material to be provided by bidder.
3) Quantity 200. See below for additional information re: future qty
4) Drawing & IGS attached
5) Timing: 3 weeks; require first-article test
6) RFQ up through Tuesday 10/25 at 6PM EST
This job is for fixture-ready blanks. We machine these in-house but need to outsource due to demand. Our machining technique: machine width down from 1.5" [extruded bar stock] to 1.382", pocket with 3/8" Carbide EM, then profile cut the double-angle. We do this in 18" strips (the max X travel of our mill). We then rip the 18" bar into ~1.9" lengths on an aluminum-cutting chop saw, hence why the 1.9" length has a loose tolerance (see drawing) and does NOT need to be square.
Re: Qty: this job is for 200 pcs. We would anticipate re-order after 3 months. Re-orders are outside the scope of this job, but it would be our intention of re-ordering with the same shop pending a good experience on the first 200.
