Default 4’x8’ CNC Router Eastern Michigan area..

4’x8’ CNC Router Eastern Michigan area..

Commerce Michigan area (Oakland County). I own a 4’x8’ CNC machine (along with having a Bridgeport CNC machine for larger metal working jobs and round pole cnc mill) Which is available for small custom cutting work.

Mostly it was designed and used it over the years to cut Flyball dog racing hurdles (see my site here: http://users.ameritech.net/watchdogflyball/JumpSets.htm) Now I’ve equipped the machine with an Ekstrom-Carlson VFD spindle advancing the machine performance further...

In anycase if you have any need for CNC router work, sign componants ect... Plastic, Sintra, Wood, MDF cutting please contact me

Just completed a quick job for a local sign company. Cutting some blade sign boards.

    Material - 6mm Sintra
Size - 24x26" with arch top...

Just a simple project... Cutting that arch accurately by hand with out a template would have been difficult... On the machine no template needed..

How do you price your service? Is it by the hour? I have some CAD drawings that will be ready in a week or two and need someone that can cut the parts out of exterior grade plywood.

    Hello..

    Just a quick update..

A GravoGraph / New-Hermes Engraving Spindle (Floating Head) spindle has been added to the machine. This spindle is the same spindle found on New-Hermes engraving machines and greatly enhances the machines ability to engrave material (plastic, aluminum, acrylic and more) over the results possible when using the fixed head spindle..

Pics of the new spindle on the machine here:
GravoGraph / New-Hermes Engraving Spindle (Floating Head)

and currently the fist picture has a simple sign I cut with the head. Other fine small engraving sign examples on the site were done with the fixed head (sub-zero control panels) but this head would have produced better results...

Started working with several sign shops in the area now & would like to add more!!!

Feel free to contact me for quotes or any cutting needs..

Hello.. been doing a few new things...

Getting into some edge lit LED sign etching. Some examples on the web site www.sintrasigns.com hopefully will have some more to come.

    Just a quick update.

Still routing things for other hobbiests and sign companies in the area.

Just upgraded my long axis planteary transmission from the small 4:1 Thompson (ran well for a few years) to a real nice 10:1 Apex Dynamics unit (see pics)..

Also have a pic of the milled aluminum adapter bracket I made to mount the planetary. Great example of metal work I can do on the CNC Bridgeport I have..

Contact me with any projects you might have..

    Thanks.
