Default vendor customer ratio

I was wondering what the vendor to customer ratio was among the members here. It seems to be out of balance to me. If you are (a buyer)looking for a vendor how many quotes get sent to you? Do you get your mailbox full in an hour or what?

The reason I ask is, almost all rfq's I have responded to have not replied back, said yes or no, or anything.

Would the administrators consider these ideas:

Advertising strictly to buyers for a while?

Limiting the number of vendors per category?

Allowing buyers to get free membership?

Allowing more vendors to join as the buyers demand grows?

Don't get me wrong, I think this forum is a GREAT idea and I am all for it. I can tell you guys put a lot of effort and hard work into it. There is definitely a need for it to exist and help people network. I will probably pay and retain membership after the trial period to see if things pick up. I am just tossing around ideas that may or may not make it more effective and profitable for everyone involved.

Thanks for listening,
Chris

We cannot give that information out cause we can't provide it. Everybody is listed as one as the same.. Until people start paying then we will be able to give you that information.

Be patience and give the site time to grow, and it will.

Default Price

I hope the price stays as reasonable as it is now. One way to regulate the customer to vendor ratio is through a high cost to bid. This will ensure the smaller shops can't bid. Please tell me this is never going to be the case here.
