Might be other options also. Molding or casting ,are you going to need more in the future? What kind of machine marks are allowable?

can you live with a 1-2 mm corner radi in the tapered cavity side where it meets the vertical wall and flat bottom?

Yes, I can probably get away with 0.125"R on those corners. I will double check.
