We are certified to aerospace work, I know I cannot bid on work here, only because there is a lot of garage machine shops here. But I love to read the site. You want this quick turn around and things of that nature, relax, some times things you get the next day are not of the best quality. With us, it is always quality first not cutting corners and run and gun.
Sometimes you just whave to remember you get what you pay for..... Arty, tell me what kind of machines you have. I can tell you know what the real deal is. Happy Holidays everyone |

Hi Fred,
I can get cheap steel sometimes and some times not... that's my big problem. I cannot get consistency in the prices. Here there is not a steel mill or something like, so I have to buy with local vendors. Some suppliers have their own stock and they put the sale price depending on the price they obtained it, no matter what's the price in the "market". So if I ask for a material they bought 2 years ago... I get the price of 2 years ago, lets say $1. Then I go three days later and found that they sold all the old inventory and the new one is costing now $10 :-( So I quote the material with a mix of local prices and onlinemetals.com prices :-) About the cycle times, later I will put my stimated, so we can check what's wrong/good with my math. Best Regards: Everardo Rascon
