Default Bore and broach

I would like to have 8 of the following parts machined. You provide the stock. I would like a quote for bearing bronze, and cast iron. I would like this part made by early May of 2008.

I am uneducated on tolerances for bores and keyways, but whatever they use for standard pulleys is what I would like.

Thickness of 0.5" +0.05"/-0.05", 2.000" dia +0.05, -0.000.

Thank you to all who consider these parts for me,

Rob

Hi, What is the size of the keyway? I would need that info to quote.

Thanks, Sue

How tight of a fit on the bore? To get a really good fit and finish, it will have to be reamed.
Do you want both sides faced or just left rough after parting?

Faces can be left rough after parting. Yes, reamed to 0.750 +0.001/-0.000 would be great.

Bronze hollowbar (932), 2" OD, 0.75" id, 13" in length is available from onlinemetals dot com for about $87. This would be a great starting point.

You can't ream a hole the same size as the bore ,it has to be undersizes by at least
1/64",so bore needs to be drilled/bored to .734375 aprox
Is 932 the alloy you require?
