I am a single individual with a Hardinge HLV-H-EM Super-Precision Toolroom lathe in my garage. It is fully fitted with a DRO (.0002" resolution), full set of collets, precision chuck and face plate, taper compound and a four position precision turret post. I work full time for another shop and spend my evenings and weekends working on my lathe at home. As a toolmaker for over ten years, I have always approached my work with intense attention to detail, doing my absolute best to provide the customer with EXACTLY what they require, and more whenever possible. Professionally, I have machined everything from cast rubber to Inconel 718, polycarbonate to molybdenum, including ceramics and glass. I also have a running co-operative agreement with another gentleman with a 2-axis CNC knee mill (ProtoTrak) in his garage, so I can complete parts that have both turning and mill work required. Without the large overhead of a stand-alone, brick-and-mortar facility, I can work for a much lower rate than nearly any full-time shop, and provide the same services. I have AutoCad 2007, so I can accept nearly any DWG file.
