I hate election years....add on the uncertainty of who will be the next POTUS....Things have slowed right down. Seen it for 30 years that way

End of year, election year, bad economy for us and I think some people don't like the new site design. Any time the economy for job shop machining is bad places like this get flooded with new members, small low dollar jobs attract an unusually high number of bids, and large shops bid on small jobs they normally would have no interest in. It seems all of those 3 things are happening. It seems back 10 years ago before the great recession someone would post a pizza and beer money job and would get 3 bids in 3 weeks on sites like this, now a job with an hour or less of shop time gets flooded with bids the first day it is posted.

Just wondering if this site is operational. No new posts in the past week or so?

Regards.

Mike

I see the same. New posts stopped after RFQWork started charging to post on Oct 11 and also to see attachments. I think it's backfired and we should complain. You might have missed it:

"From today on in order to reply to a post or see a attachment or to post a RFQ we are charging a small fee, of $5.00 a month for $50.00 for the year. This will keep out the spam and get more serious people biding on jobs and posting. If you have any issues please let me know.

Please note SERVERS are NOT FREE.

Anyone that wants to post as a "buyer" is able to post for free (I believe). Only those that want to see downloads or post on a RFQ need to pay. I think the constant posting on old RFQ's and the posting from Chinese and Indian firms will considerably less.
