Your tolerance is very tight. Most threaded rod is rolled and has more than .0005 variation before you machine. Is this possible with your material? I'm local and could arrange to see your material and discuss to get an accurate quote, if that would be helpful.

Looking for a shop that can shear and bend 1/8 sheet steel 10 ft. long. I have several pieces I need cut and some need bent. The max length in 10 ft. I would like to find someone local to the Akron Ohio area.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are looking for hypoid gears. The chances of you finding someone on here to make those I think are pretty slim. Custom hypoids would be expensive. I would look for an industrial transmission components supplier for off the shelf sets or automotive type...

If he is trying to scare people off with those prices, it sure worked for me. I wouldn,t even consider doing those parts at 100 pcs quantity for less than 2.00 ea., especially the part with the knurling. Good luck, let me know how it goes and if you would do it again.

Dualkit, You are absolutely correct in what your stating. I always ship parts with insurance and if a customer is not willing to support me in trying to establish a quality transaction that is best for both of our interest then they are not worth working with. Just think if your parts are lost...
